StarStarStarStarStar You all are idiots.
User: Pissed At Retards, Nov 19, 2010

Pros:  Very long charge, more than double than normal.
Cons:  Droid OS does not "believe" the battery on how much life is left.

To everyone who says that its the batterys fault that the Droid OS doesnt know how accurate the battery life is an idiot. You all need to get your heads out of your ass and use common sense. This battery is giving you over 87 more charge at once and your bitching because you have to reboot your phone, which takes a whole 15 seconds. You people are ridiculous and ignorant. Go buy an iPhone.
StarStarStarStarStar great battery if you dont mind the size
User: James Hayes, Mar 4, 2010

Pros:  long life even with extensive use
Cons:  large size can take away from compact phone

battery is great definitely worth the price if you use your droid extensively with apps and services.
StarStarStarStarStar not as bad as some say
User: Jerry Smith, Jun 6, 2010

Pros:  about double the life
Cons:  little bulky and incorrect battery gauge

Im not sure why some gave such a poor rating. Its obvious they dont have a clue to how rechargeable batteries work and some actually dont understand that the OS is part of the problem here.
1. Yes the OS cant read the charge on the battery. And yes that is Motorolas fault.
2. This battery lasts about double the time a regular battery lasts. Its even possible to get some more life out of it because its only had about three good charges since I got it. So to those who sent theirs back. Youre a fool. Rechargeable batteries need to build up because they have a memory.
All in all its not a bad battery for the price.

StarStarStarStarStar Not compatible with phone OS
User: David Plotkin, Jun 14, 2010

Pros:  Actually does get extended life
Cons:  Battery life is not reported accurately

The battery does indeed provide extended life. Unfortunately, after about 6 hours the phone (and various battery life apps) report the battery as almost completely drained. As noted in other reviews, you have to turn off the phone, then turn it back on again to get an accurate reading -- after which it begins showing the high discharge rate again. Whether or not this is Seidios fault or Motorolas fault is kind of immaterial -- the question you have to ask yourself is whether you are willing to trade the longer life for being completely in the dark as to the actual charge state of the battery.
StarStarStarStarStar Doesnt work as expected,........
User: DougK tds01, Mar 31, 2010

Pros:  Battery life is long
Cons:  Needs constant rebooting

Id love it, if I didnt have to turn the phone off and on again and again to get it to switch between cells to (somewhat) function correctly. It constantly tells me ethe battery is about to die, and after the reboot, the power is up to 90 or better,.....again and again.

Great try, in theory,.....but horrible in reality.
StarStarStarStarStar Drained Quickly
User: BRIAN GORDON, Feb 28, 2010
I used this once - and it drained quicker than the standard battery. Sent a support request to Seido and never heard back. I will try again as the bulk is less important to me than the battery life
StarStarStarStarStar Better Options
User: Michael Betz, Nov 5, 2011

Pros:  Big battery
Cons:  Reboot several times a day? No thanks.

The comments about needing to reboot the phone several times a day to use this big battery scared me off. I found a better alternative not available here: A Motorola BP7X battery. Its 1,800 MAH - combined with the new OS software update - allow me go go all day without having to search out a charger. Be sure to get it with the replacement door - its a bit thicker than the standard battery.
StarStarStarStarStar Causes Phone Rebooting
User: Rick Annon, Jun 4, 2011

Pros:  Long Life
Cons:  Phone Reboots / Battery Door Falls Off

Holds a charge for the whole day, but caused my phone to reboot constantly. I keep my phone on a belt clip and the battery is so big the battery door keeps getting knocked off.
StarStarStarStarStar 6 hour is ridiculous say all day battery is in 5
User: Pedro Loveras, Apr 20, 2011

Pros:  Almost 17 hours
Cons:  I can work without know how many battery juice i have

I try reboot my phone and still in 5, i try turn off and still in 5, stay almost 17 hours before turn off. But come on is impossible work like that.
StarStarStarStarStar Not as advertised
User: Mark Nemhauser, Apr 5, 2011

Pros:  Phone is great (Motorola Droid Orig)
Cons:  even after reboot I cannot get more than 6 hours of standby

I really dont know what to say. I dont care about the "meter" on the top right of the phone. What bothers me is that if I leave the phone with this extended battery, and dont use the phone, I get a message in the middle of the view area that the phone has 5 life left and tells me to recharge. I dont know about anyone else, but every other phone I have had let me go 11 days without a recharge. What should I do? Turn off the OS and just use it as a phone? Or perhaps this was just a defective battery.
StarStarStarStarStar Not really good
User: Jerry Rasmussen, Apr 29, 2010
Constantly have to restart phone to get accurate battery reading. Very frustrating. Seidio blames Droid OS, I dont think so. I returned it.
StarStarStarStarStar NOT EXTENDED
User: Ron Songer, Apr 20, 2010

Pros:  NONE
Cons:  size, last half as long as my reg batt. returning today

StarStarStarStarStar Not Extended
User: Mike Kriutzfield, Mar 28, 2010
This battery lasted about half as long as the original. Not worth the money or effort.
