StarStarStarStarStar perfect adapter for BB Curve and iphone to skullcandy helmet
User: Kraig M, May 11, 2009

Pros:  excellent sound quality, remote control of music & voice dialing
Cons:  short cord

I have a Smith/Skullcandy snowboard helmet that has built in headphones and this let me use the headphones to talk on my Blackberry Curve. The cord is super short (its literally about 4 inches long) which at first concerned me. But the mic is so good that it picks up my voice clearly even when my blackberry and the mic are zipped up inside of a winter coat.
StarStarStarStarStar Car!

Pros:  what Ive been looking for
Cons:  it is a bit short

I have been looking for this everywhere. I was ready to make one but them found it here. I use it to plug the audio into my car stereo. allowing for 4 speaker loud volume sound and still being able to talk. better than bluetooth and louder.
downside. everyone can hear you.

StarStarStarStarStar 6" cord==mic in your pocket
User: jen iffer, Jan 7, 2011

Pros:  in-line mic
Cons:  in-line mic in your pocket or backpack

cable too short to be practical - need a 3 between connector and mic, then the headphone cable can connect directly to the mic pod
StarStarStarStarStar Not Worth It!
User: Dan Lee, Jun 12, 2008
This adapter is pretty much worthless. First, it uses a straight connector which means it protrudes out quite a bit when plugged in. Next, its only a 2 inches of cable to the button and mic. This means you still have to take your phone out of your pocket to access the button and speak into the mic.

You might as well plug your headphones directly into your Curve (no adapter required!!). Since youre going to have to pull your phone out anyways with or without the adapter, just use the buttons on your phone. Also, the mic on the Curve work just as well if not better than the mic on the adapter. Its like using the speaker phone option, only with the sound routed to your headphones.

Dont waste your $16 like I did.
