Nice Case

Pros: Good Fit and Covers Most of the Holes
Cons: Does not fit well with an invisible skin on the slide side

This is a nice case, it offers great protection from the elements entering the Droid.
I dropped mine in some water and the phone filled up through the speaker port on the back :( and no more Droid.I highly recommend having an invisible skin put on the screen as the screen protector that is included is not very good
This case cannot be used with the charging cradle as it is too thick. It would be really great if a case could be made to accommodate the charging cradle.

Pros: Perfect and beautiful fit and finish, slim, buttons are covered
Cons: none really except no belt clip maybe?

This is my third case for the Motorola Droid and this one I believe is the best. The Bodyglove comes close but this one edges it out by how well it fits. The fit and finish is perfect, not a single ill fitting piece anywhere. Its also quite slim too, even moreso than the Bodyglove. I love how the buttons are covered and protected. They also do not hamper the operation of the buttons one bit, in fact it actually makes using the buttons easier. The only con I can think of is the fact the case is a bit slippery when held in your hand vs what the phone feels like naked. For me, this is not a con but a pro because I wanted a case that would easily slip in and out of my pocket. It doesnt come with a belt clip nor can one be used but like I said I wanted it for my pocket, not to attach to my belt.

Ive had this case on my phone for roughly a month now. The case was quite expensive, but I figured that I wouldnt skimp on a purchase to save my droid from the wear and tear that Id already caused. The case is very durable and smooth, allowing for easy removal from my pocket. The slide mechanism is not hindered in the slightest. The case is very easy to remove, if you want to remove it. Im not saying its just going to come off if you drop the phone though. The body glove case felt like I was breaking the phone everytime I tried to remove this case. This isnt an issue with the otterbox. If you want ultimate protection for your phone, get this. Its an amazingly durable case.

Case definitely is a lot bulkier in the pocket. Overall tho, it adds a nice and sturdy touch to the mobile device. Love the Otter box logo on the back and the square opening to show off the 5MP camera logo.

Pros: MY DROID IS SAFE AND SOUND
Cons: A bit hefty and no clip to place on the belt

I like this case more than any other even though I cant clip it to my belt. I have dropped it getting on and off of the bus and even when getting in and out of cars and still, NO cracked screen and no chipped OUTTER BOX!!!

IMO best Droid case out there. Seidio pales in comparison. 3rd day i had it I dropped my Droid from about 5.5ft. not damage to the case or the phone. I cant say the same for the Seidio.

Pros: back-case
Cons: front-case

The silicone insert and hard shell for the back of this case are very well designed. If Otterbox made a car mount I would buy it, but the back of this case is easy enough to remove that I can still use it with the Motorola car dock (which I got free through a Telus promo.) The plugs for the phones data and headphone ports are also very well designed. Also, the button covers make the volume button easier to find in my pocket, which is great.

The front half of the case, though, is not so impressive. (the screen protector is fine, Im talking about the plastic snap-on bezel.) Basically, if you dont need to ever take the thing off it would be fine (though I wonder how much protection it really offers) but taking it off is a nightmare. Its just too tight mine broke after two weeks (and I only took it off 5-6 times I gave up on taking the case off to get the phone into my car dock.) It snapped right at the small cut-out for the mic.

This is a good case that really does protect every part of my Droid. The screen is protected, ports have rubber inserts to keep dust out, and the back is protected. The only problem is the rubber lining inside the case backing. My phone is overclocked to 800mghz and if I play a 3d game or browse the internet too long, my phone always overheats. I used to have a BodyGlove case and this never happened. The rubber lining is too much of an insulator. Overheating never happens with the case off.

The case is awesome. fits the droid like a glove. i bought and returned the body glove case a while back. it just didnt seem to snap on correctly and fell off all the time. no problem at all with this case though. the only reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5, was because i would like a belt clip along with it.

Brushed finish is deceptive

I bought this case thinking it was brushed anodized metal of some sort. Dont let the brushed finish fool you! its just plastic! Mine broke within 3 months. If your clumsy and drop your phone often than I suppose this is better than some but not nearly as sturdy as some of the earlier Otter cases.

like I said in the Pro/Con section, its the best case ive had so far, with the exception of the front cover, it broke in the corner, i contacted otterbox about this and they informed me that on some droids, since some are slightly larger than other (mine being one) it breaks due to the larger size, ive had 2 so far and both have broken, and i have given up, its too bad i really like the case

Cons: Britle plastic, Week front ring

When I first got this case it fit perfectly perhaps the best fitting phone case i have ever owned. Unfortunately after less than 1 month the small trim ring around the screen cracked in two. Otterbox quickly responded to my email and sent me a replacement no questions asked. Then, the second case broke in the exact same place. This time the response was not so fast they informed me they were going through a shipping process and apologized for the delay. I now have my third case and am hoping it holds up as i very much like the looks and fit.

I have had the otterbox case for quite awhile. I love the protection that it can provide! I have had to call Otterbox 3 times already. And now I am on my 3rd case. The top part of the case which goes on the slider portion has snapped three different times almost in the same exact spot. Im glad otterbox has a 1 year warranty

This is a very nice case. All the otterbox cases Ive owned are. It fits well and protects well, but why doesnt Otterbox offer a holster for the darned thing?!? Im a police officer, and carry my phone on my belt, but not this time. I could understand if they sold it separately, but I HATE not having a phone holster. I wont carry it in my pocket. And the screen protector provided with the case, in a word, bites. Why in the world dont they offer a non-glare screen protector for it? In short, the Otterbox is a nice stopgap case for a great phone, but nothing more. Guess Ill have to find a holstered case for the phone, and ditch the otterbox.

The Droid itself is already a big phone (by comparison) so the last thing I want is to add more bulk to it. Two things I wanted (arent we all looking for the same thing?): Protection while adding insignificant to no bulk.

OtterBox delivered 100 on protection but only 50 with the lack of sleekness.

Note that it has 2 layers for the backside. I understand why, it is designed to protect every inch of your phone but I also would love to see an Otter Box version for Droid with just 1 layer that would make this case a bit slimmer for the Droid.

Perhaps they already have plans for this. Id say hold off until OtterBox comes out with a sleeker version (Id take another chance on them).

My favorite part of this case is the back, the texture with the OtterBox logo is gorgeous. Of course Im going to say gorgeous, Im a girl.

Cheaply Made Outer Case

I have had this case since it came out. I have gone through 3 cases total. The top part surrounding my screen keeps on braking. It would be in my purse and brake. I wish they would make a stronger case for this phone or any other slide out phone. Otherwise it is a good case.

I personally have owned an Otterbox commuter case for my BB Storm 2 and now for my Moto Droid. The Storms case was good, but the plastic on the outside snapped after taking it off and on too many times from all the battery pulls. The moto droid case is good as well except for the top part where the screen slides out. I have had to replace it 4 times already and I have only had it 2 months. The top piece snaps at the same place every time, top right corner. And the odd thing is each time it snapped, I didnt drop it. It was in my pocket and when I sat down the pressure from my jeans would snap it. Every single time and my pants are not tight by any means. The good thing about Otterbox is the customer service. Every time it snapped I would call and they would send me a brand new one, no questions asked. This time though, I have a .99 replacement on the top piece and it has lasted longer than any of the otterbox ones. The back is great, but that top piece just has a stress area where if you press too hard at the one corner it snaps. They need to work on that.

I bought this case based on the positive reviews but was disappointed. The top part that snaps onto the front of the phone is hard plastic and broke within a few weeks! I liked that all the buttoms were covered but it should not have broken that quickly!

This is my second replacement put every time i put in my pocket because it dose not have a holster and thats the only place i can put it in. the front piece keeps breaking on the top right hand corner i really wish it came with an belt clip or something i dont think OtterBox thought hard on the protection but didnt think about the way it should of been held.

Why is Everything Black?

Pros: Love the rubber enclosures over the ports to keep the dust and /or other gremlins out
Cons: Not sleek, not female friendly, no choice of color, just not something I want my phone to look like. If I wanted black, why change the outside of the Droid?

My husband has an Otterbox cover and he loves it..he works construction so it works very well for him and he has indicated that the port covers would likely be the best for me also. I, however carry a purse that houses my phone without difficulty and I dont find the need to protect from dirt or dust. I just would rather have the sleek design of the phone rather than adding more "black" to the scenario. Is there any way that the Otterbox could help us women be more colorful and protective at the same time...?

I bought the case and the top part around the screen lasted about a day, so I decided to keep using the bottom part. It only lasted about a week after that, and I dropped my phone maybe twice.not worth the money

I am not hard on my phones. I have gone through two of the outer covers that protects the slide out screen. They have snapped.

Also, I dropped my phone yesterday from waist height. The case broke near the camera.

Not what I thought the Otterbox would do for me. Very Dissappointed.

Not Worth the Money

While this case looks good it doesnt perform up to Otter Box standards in my opinion. I had an Otter Box on a iphone and it was tough. This Commuter Series is not as strong. I knocked my phone off a tv tray onto CARPET and the narrow ring that goes around the face broke. This case is little better than the snap on covers available for $10 to $12. NOT worth $32.
