This is a quality item that I highly recommend. I"ve purchased two of these so far..one for my Playbook and one for my wifes Kindle Fire. They work flawlessly. Amazon.com offers this Motorola charger for $5.23 including shipping (no tax).

Its a very nice charger. I havent had it that long but Im really impressed with the little things such as the clip that holds the cord together as opposed to most others that come with a wire tie. I also like the esthetics of the charger. Nice cool blue "M" logo.

Works great. Came with my Motorola car dock for the Droid "1". The cable has a longer reach and the charger works faster than the rocketfish one Id bought to go with a different dock. This one has the cable length to not put any stress on the phone jack when I have it up in the dock.

Oh, and to the reviewer who gave it 2 stars because he found it cheaper elsewhere, really? Youre rating a product down because of what its being sold for at a different place?

the cord is plenty long and very flexible. The lit up logo is subtle, no need to tape over it :) The micro USB connector seats easily and firmly. Nicest car charger Ive owned in a long time.

I bought this car charger by default as B-Buy was out of all other micro-usbs. I was skeptical of the "rapid charging" claim made by the salesman & Moto. This charges my Storm much faster than anything else out there. It also seems to be of higher quality than anything Ive seen from RIM or Verizon.

The light is a soft blue (which I prefer to RIMs orange).

I dont know why it may be hit-or-miss for some but this car charger charges right away and every time I use it in my CR-V, my VW Eurovan Camper and a 12V regulated power supply at my office. The charging rate is also quick. It charges faster than a USB port or the Touchstone.
It is rated as a high-power charger yet I could not find an output rating anywhere. I would recommend this unit. The blue-glowing "M" for Motorola looks cool but Im not sure why someone would design an in-car device that illuminates so. Nonetheless since I use a multiport 12V adapter below the dashboard the light isnt too distracting. Honestly, if it gets in the way, a bit of electrical tape can tone down the glow.

I have an 05 Lincoln Aviator and the long slim design with the rounded end of the charger makes it very easy for me to plug this into my accessory plug thats at the bottom of my center console that has a top door that I can still close with no problem after plugging it in. I wish it had an additional port to plug more then 1 device in it at a time like some of the other chargers has. But over all I really like this car charger. Ive had it for 4 months no problems.

Works great with the installed microchip..goes right to the cardock..seems to keep ahead of the discharge pace when using GPS although Im not sure if this is a function of the charger or what I have running..only downside Ive noticed is that the connection seems a bit loose but once I take my hand off the cord and let it do its thing it seems to work fine.

This charger works fine unless you go on a long trip with the Sprint NAV running and screen brightness turned up for dayllight viewing. Then it doesnt keep up at all. Add driving through low signal areas where you are switching back and forth between roaming and you better turn somehting off or you will have a dead battery.

Bought two of these for my pre and they dont work reliably. You have to plug in the charger multiple times before the pre will start charging. Ive also tried the Rocketfish Micro-USB car charger, and that doesnt work at all. Ended up having to buy the Palm Car Charger because it works without any hassle.

I thought I had vetted this charger well enough before purchasing, but obviously I hadnt been to the right sites.

It charges about one out of every five attempts.

Any Pre owner knows how quickly the battery power drops after intense but normal use. I was out in my car one afternoon recently and started attempting to charge my Pre using the Motorola charger when battery power was at 60. I tried for hours to get it to charge, and only when it reached 5 did the charger kick in. At that point, I could only use the phone while it was plugged in, which is a nightmare to do with the usb connector sticking out 90 degrees from the phone. Why didnt Palm put the connector site on the bottom?????

I trired two different sockets in my late model car, tried sockets in a dealership new loaner car, and I tried it inside my house plugged into a DC adaptor, and it still only works a very small percentage of the time.

So much for off-label use. I guess its all Palm accessories now.

I plug in three different Pres to this charger and nothing. Phones do not charge or even recognize that they are plugged into a charger.
