StarStarStarStarStar Exactly what I needed
User: Jim F, Jan 26, 2012

Pros:  Compact for an aftermarket holder
Cons:  Wish it had a taller or adjustable verticle slide

This was a perfect match for what I needed having a truck with an additional free cigarette lighter hence this mount allows me to still make use of the charger and keeps the phone from being a distraction to the windsheild view or looking tacky leaving it in place.

Securely holds my Galaxy Nexus with or without my phones hardshell case and depth of mount has no problem when phone has my bulkier extended battery either.

Not a complaint, but would be icing on the cake if mount came with an adjustable slider to raise the verticle back support. Galaxy Nexus holds firm but still a tall phone that extends a couple inches above the top of the mounting back.
StarStarStarStarStar excellent

Pros:  great for hands free
Cons:  -

Great Product. Allows hands free, easy to use and fits great.
StarStarStarStarStar iGrip Car mount
User: Raynard Esquilin, Aug 18, 2011
The holder works great, easy to install and adjust, and easy to remove, I wish it would open a bit wider so I dont have to take my EVO 3D out of my Otterbox but is ok because the phone is secure in the stand so theres no risk of scratches. Great choice overall, price and quality.
StarStarStarStarStar great phone holder
User: Bob Wiliamson, Jul 23, 2011

Pros:  easy install,great grip
Cons:  holder comes off of post fairly easy

Very nice phone holder. side clips are in the way of the charge port, but no problem if you plug the charger in first. clip easily comes off of the post, but easily solved if you put a small screw in the back.
all in all a very nice holder
StarStarStarStarStar works great
User: Eric Yoder, Jul 24, 2009

Pros:  holds phone well
Cons:  none

This works perfect. Does not affect the side buttons on the phone. I did notice that it fits more snug in an actual cigarette lighter socket as opposed to a power outlet, which is perfect since I dont smoke. and that leaves 2 power outlets next to that in my truck to plug accessories in. As another reviewer stated, you should hold the connector and twist the whole holder to get it nice and tight.
StarStarStarStarStar More info on Adapter...
User: David Carryer, Jan 9, 2009
I wrote another review praising this adapter. Almost a year later I have something to add... its still perfect... works great... but as a plus it also hold my iPod Touch beautifully! Its perfect! The two devices I keep on me, my BlackBerry and my iPod touch, and this holds them both. Awesome! Love it!
StarStarStarStarStar Best accessory purchase yet!!!
User: Ryan H, Oct 28, 2008
Unlike Mike R said below this item works great. He was probably not smart enough to know that you have to make the holder SNAP into place with the bendy arm. I have an 2008 F-150 and this works awesome in it. The bendy arm could be a little longer, but for where my plug is in my Ford, its absolutely perfect! The only thing was I wished this would charge my phone at the same time. I would suggest putting the piece into the plug in, and actually turn the whole mount to tighten it up. If you do this, it isnt moving. Again, GREAT buy, and so convienent. When you close the side pads against the phone, it doesnt hit any of the side buttons on the phone. If you want a good place to view your phone while driving, get this mount!!!
StarStarStarStarStar Great Product
User: Andre Bowens, Sep 11, 2008

Pros:  I am a safer driver
Cons:  None

I love this product, it fits perfectly in my Camary, and allows me to view the screen cleary and access the keys very easy. My Pearl 8110 speaker phone works great (do not like bluetooth). I do not have to worry about the phone sliding off the seat while driving and I always know where the phone is. Perfect product! I will be buying another for my wife.

StarStarStarStarStar Very Good Solution
User: David Carryer, May 12, 2008

Pros:  Design and Simplicity
Cons:  Short Bendy Arm

This product is a bargain and works very well. I use it in my Mercury Mountaineer SUV. The arm, although shorter then I would like, allows me to place the blackberry in a perfect spot that is both easily readable yet out of the way. I had a concern after reading another review that the foam on the edges would grip the blackberry hard enough to push in the side button on my 8830... it doesnt! Actually it fits very nicely and very snug. The blackberry easily clips in and out. I find the holster to be both secure and durable. Ive had it for a week and use it daily... it was a great purchase!
StarStarStarStarStar Works Great in my 4Runner
User: Brian Rabe, Jan 21, 2008

Pros:  Quick Installation, No Permanent Mount Required, Puts my Blackberry 8830 in perfect view when using GPS
Cons:  Mount and Goosneck connection not that secure but hasnt failed yet.

I bought this to Cigarette Lighter Mount to use my Blackbery 8830 for GPS navigation while travelling. It works perfect! In my 4Runner the "Power Outlet" is right next to the driver seat and puts the unit in perfect view for navigation. No complaints!
StarStarStarStarStar Can Live W/O
User: gibbs wilson, Nov 11, 2010
This is an okay accessory. It was hard to figure out to take the end off so that it would go into the outlet, and the Storm 2 screen goes out after a short while to preserve the battery, so I dont know how much use Ill get out of this.
StarStarStarStarStar only one flaw
User: Les Muler, Oct 26, 2010

Pros:  low profile, hold phone securely
Cons:  one critical weak bolt

this is a good product, holds the phone securely, and below the dash level. The one flaw is the bolt the compresses the lighter mount. I have 2 of these and both have needed repair/ The bolt that works to tighten the unit in the socket is pressed into plastic. Over time the vibration will make the bolt fall out. Super glue will repair it for awhile, gorilla glue repairs it for life. I really like this mount, just know youll have to fix it eventually.
StarStarStarStarStar great

this is a good holder
StarStarStarStarStar Simple But Works Great
User: Jason Riccoboni, May 21, 2010

Pros:  Pretty Sturdy and puts my Tour exactly where I need it
Cons:  Really?! Doesnt Charge my phone?!

Just received this mount today and I already love it. This simple but great product works perfectly. Its sturdy, fits great, and puts my Tour exactly where I need it to use speaker phone and view the GPS easily. The length that was provided is not too short and not too long. I just could not give it 5 stars because it does not charge my phone. Now, I knew it would not when I purchased it from the description and all of the other reviews, but come on!! Its a no brainer that this prodcut would be a much bigger hit if it could charge the phone. Would even pay more!! How hard could it be to run a wire though the neck so that you could plug and charge. Dont think its rocket science...may even make a prototype lol.
StarStarStarStarStar Almost Perfect
User: RC R, Nov 7, 2008

Pros:  Simple, Secure, Puts my 8330 in the right spot
Cons:  End that fits into lighter socket is a bit of a pain

Cant give it 5 stars -- the plug that fits into the lighter socket is a bit annoying. Ive had it only a few days so maybe its me (if thats the case I give myself 3 stars).

Bought it mainly for GPS Nav -- also works great for speakerphone.

Yeah, the bendy arm is a bit short -- it all depends on where your cig lighter is. I can see how thered be a problem in a large truck, but it works great in a Camry. Easy to see, easy to hear, easy access to all buttons.

StarStarStarStarStar If I could do it over again, I wouldnt.
User: B. R., Dec 1, 2010

Pros:  Good grip, fairly cheap
Cons:  wont tighten enough to stop vibrations

Although it first seems strong enough to hold a blackberry torch, once installed it vibrates and shakes constantly. You dont want to tighten it too tight either for fear it will bust the rubber lining or your cigarette lighter. It grips well (almost too small with otterbox) but it gets the blackberry out of the way, and am okay with its durability, but am forced to hold the mount to stop the vibration if Im looking at the blackberry. If I could make this purchase over again, i wouldnt, and would probably go with the Akron CM910 or something else.
StarStarStarStarStar Works fine
User: Jesse C, Aug 4, 2009

Pros:  Hold Storm 9530 firmly
Cons:  Whenever you clamp the storm into place, it pushes the left side convience key

Buy other IGrip product if you own the storm. It holds the phone well, just hits some buttons when you clamp it down.
StarStarStarStarStar Just not useful
User: Yukon Denali, Feb 21, 2009

Pros:  Design, usefulness for some
Cons:  Flexible tube too short, not sturdy

This item is such a useful concept, but in my Yukon Denali SUV, it is not functional. The flexible tube is not long enough, so I find myself removing my phone from it and putting it back in an easier-to-use spot that I used before having this item. Disappointed.
StarStarStarStarStar Not compatible with Pearl
User: Bruce Rasher, Jan 6, 2009

Pros:  -
Cons:  No power interferes with side convenience keys...

The design of this car kit did not take into consideration the location of the left and right side convenience keys on the BB Pearl. Consequently, when you insert the device and cinch in the retainer brackets to hold it securely, both side keys are depressed (triggering whatever function you have set for them). Very poor planning....
StarStarStarStarStar Convenient, but lacking
User: J S, Sep 27, 2008

Pros:  Nice to have blackberry secure while driving, speakerphone easier now
Cons:  Holster easily pops off, cable not long enough, 8830 viewed at a tilt

Great idea, but the "cable" from the mount to the phone holder is far too short. I have a Yukon Denali, and my phone is always at a sideways tilt due to the length of the cable. If I bump the phone, it pops off of the cable. Phone (8830) fits tightly and it does depress the convenience key - no matter, as I dont have anything assigned to that key. Love having the blackberry secure while driving, though, and I can easily use the speakerphone. Convenient item to have. Looking forward to the upgrade with longer cable (maybe I can get a trade-in discount on this one). :-)
StarStarStarStarStar Some issues but I will keep it
User: Bruce Stryd, Apr 24, 2008
This car holder does hold my 700p and I will use it, BUT:
- The neck is not long enough for my car since my cigliter is close to my gearshift. It bbaarreellyy has enough flexibility and I do scrape my knuckles some.
- My main complaint is when I put the treo in the holder and the treo is on, most of the time, the holder causes the treo to do something. When I put it in with the standard phone app up, it always -- as in ALWAYS -- goes to the contacts. Other prgrams do other things. Something electric-wise happens when I put the treo in.
So these are sort minor, put buyer beware.
StarStarStarStarStar Seriously?
User: Anon ymous, Jan 17, 2012

Pros:  Holds the phone.
Cons:  Actively prevents charging.

I had to laugh at this one. Not only does this not charge your phone while its performing its most battery draining task, it prohibits it from being charged by a third party charger. How on earth did they sell a single one of these?!
StarStarStarStarStar takes up the charging socket but does not charge
User: e n, Sep 26, 2011

Pros:  i guess it holds the phone ok
Cons:  actually prevents you from charging the phone

So this item plugs into your charging socket but fails to charge your phone. While you are using your phone as a GPS or something it drains. If you want to charge it simply dismount it from the mounter, unplug the mounting device, put the mounting device in the back seat or on the floor or somewhere and then plug your charger into the charging socket. Lay the phone in the cupholder or on the passenger seat.
What could be more convenient?
StarStarStarStarStar Not all the facts

I thought this would be great for trips, keep the phone charged wile useing the gps (as you should know it eats the battery) Boy was i fooled.Fool me once shame on you,Fool me twice shame on me!
StarStarStarStarStar unusable
User: Nathan Williams, Jul 13, 2010

Pros:  -
Cons:  Doesnt fit in the cigarette lighter

I was disappointed by this product, it doesnt even fit in the cigarette lighter of a 2006 325XI BMW
StarStarStarStarStar If I could give 0 stars I wouldve
User: Noneya Business, Apr 26, 2010

Pros:  the phone cradle part worked, that part was okay
Cons:  No directions, doesnt go in easily or come out easily

I ended up just sending this thing back. I will say that they did not give me a hard time about returning it (since it was within 30 days) but there was no directions that came with this thing in the first place. I ended up having to replace my cigarette lighter because I screwed it up trying to install it the first time. I guess youre supposed to twist it in there but I couldnt do it on mine, I tried my friends car didnt work on that either. Im going to go with the vent mount because I want something that will come on and off easily instead of having to sit there for 20 minutes trying not to break your cigarette lighter.
StarStarStarStarStar If you love for your iPhone to constantly fall on the floor, this item is for you!
User: Tyler Riddlebargert, Mar 17, 2010

Pros:  Holds iPhone firmly in place, movable holders to allow access for the headphone jack
Cons:  Very poor and weak constructed in places

Upon receiving this holder, I was excited to get it installed for my daily commute between college and home. It went into the cigarette lighter socket very easily and tightened up nice. The neck had to be angled slightly to avoid the gearshift in my car, but was easily done. Now for the double-edged sword. The unit will not hold your iPhone/iPod Touch upright if not tightened enough, but I believe because of this the unit malfunctioned severely. The only thing holding the entire iPhone/iPod holder onto the flexible neck is a piece of plastic wrapped around a screw that allows the unit to pivot/rotate and tighten. Within the 30 minute drive to school, the unit broke and the part that goes into the cigarette lighter port was lodged in there and took a pair of vice grip pliers and about 10 minutes to get out with a lot of strenuous grunting involved. I am severely turned off into ever buying anything from iGrip again. Poor construction, overpriced for what you get. Also, on top of all that, the first time you place your mobile device into the product, the rubber pads come off and get sticky, gooey glue all over your product that takes a lifetime to get off. DO NOT BUY, EVER!
StarStarStarStarStar It breaks off after about 2 months of use
User: Anthony Ung, Jan 25, 2010

Pros:  Nice holder and well design
Cons:  The flex neck broke off after about 2 months of use

Very well design, I love this holder which puts my Palm Pre in a great angle in my car! I would give it a 5 stars without a doubt if it last longer than 2 months. I have given a second unit a chance and it broke just like the first one!
StarStarStarStarStar Misrepresentation
User: R B, Aug 1, 2009

Pros:  Unknown
Cons:  Not designed for a Honda Accord

When trying to find a cellular phone mount for a Blackberry 8820 its very misleading how a Universal Fit Cigarette Lighter Mount is being described or sold to consumers. This devise is generally posted on several website search engines and clearly does not fit into Sedans and the product should be sold only in markets where a Sedan does not have a central console. I sent my product back to the vendor and plan to purchase a different product that is not installed in a Cigarette Lighter.
StarStarStarStarStar need more power
User: rupert freelie, Sep 5, 2008
Give us power to the phone and you get a 100
StarStarStarStarStar Waste Of Money
User: Mike R, Mar 5, 2008

Pros:  None
Cons:  Everything

This product cost 36.00 is shipping. What a huge disappointment. Depending on how you orient the product upon assembly, it comes apart EVERY single time you either insert or remove your Blackberry 8830.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
