StarStarStarStarStar Nice one indeed
User: Pedro Stephano, Jan 11, 2010

Pros:  Two is better than one
Cons:  Only in black

Bought this to use in my Audi with my iPhone. Never used the second USB outlet as the car was ipodded. That is until we went on a journey across to Europe in the family wagon - that didnt have ipod conection. Thus I took my trusty Griffin dual and hooked up my iPhone and my USB FM transmitter - et voila! Car is ituned!!
A superb device that charges the iphone nicely. The only disadvantage that I could mentio is that the LED indicator, whilst nice and cool, is only visible in low light. A minor niggle.
Overall a recommended product.
NB Mine (purchased UK) came with a black USB iPhone lead.

StarStarStarStarStar Good quality - works so great I am getting a second one

I bought a couple cheapo Car USB power chargers. Both died within a few months. The Griffin has been used a lot and its been over a year and still works great. My wife keeps taking it as she used to have a cheapo one that died. So I am buying another one for her car. We have used the dual power on long vacation trips to charge both of our phones at the same time and it has also been used to charge the kids Nintendo DS a few times. Highly recommend - and I am very picky with accessories!

StarStarStarStarStar Works like a charm
User: Eddie Suarez, Jun 5, 2010

Pros:  Can charge any two devices at once. Charges my digital camera, garmin 310, Garmin Edge, Garmin Nuvi, Hero, Evo...
Cons:  Sometimes I wish it had more ports. Ive got too much junk to charge!

This works great. Yes it takes longer to charge than the regular wall charger but thats expected. Its not running with 120volts of juice coming outta my wall, its working with what it can from my car battery.

Yes it requires a cable that you can lose as one reviewer said. But duh! You can lose anything if you dont take care of putting it where it belongs.

I have used it to charge all of my devices that can charge via USB.

I am buying a 2nd one for the other car.

StarStarStarStarStar Works good cheaper at walmart aswell
User: chris remy, Dec 19, 2009

Pros:  you can charge two devices at once
Cons:  slow charge

This product is good, way less expesive than the charger Sprint has avalible for the PRE. The Only thing i dislike is that the charger charges about as fast as your computer charges your phone via usb port, no where near as fast as the wall charger. Anf if you phone is already dead and you charge it to life you need to dissconnect and then reconnect the charger for it to continue charging. Other than that it works great and is only 11.83$ @ walmart.

User: N Knight, May 16, 2010

StarStarStarStarStar rarely works.
User: David P., Jan 10, 2010

Pros:  two plugs
Cons:  rarely charges pre

I got this thinking it would be nice to charge my pre and something else in the car at the same time, except that it would rarely actually start charging my pre at all. I would try to plug in and unplug in multiple times and it might work. Had to get Palm brand car charger and it works like a charm all the time.

StarStarStarStarStar Does not work with a cliq at all
User: sam h, Jan 26, 2010

Pros:  It fits in the car outlet and it fits a usb plug
Cons:  Does nothing as far as charging goes.

I see a lot of places pushing this as a solution for charging a cliq, since it comes with a usb cable and will charge over that cable when hooked up to a computer. Common sense without much to go on says yeah this should work. It doesnt.

There is a special "ic" chip or something to that effect in chargers that work with the cliq... The griffin powerjolt duo has no such animal...

StarStarStarStarStar Did not work - locked up phone
User: Brenda Hartson, Apr 13, 2010

Pros:  Would have been nice to charge 2 devices with one unit
Cons:  Requires a cable that is easy to lose

I plugged in my Bold 9700 and the clock displayed but I looked at the charging signal and it did not show the charge signal. I tried it in several car charger outlets with same result.

I gave another device to a coworker to try and he tried to use it for 2 days and came to bring it back. It would show the clock but then freeze up the phone requiring us to pull the battery to get it back. Used same type of phone. Did not test with the Storm or any other phone.

StarStarStarStarStar Wont charge my 9700 #fail
User: Roger Cruse, Jun 4, 2010
I purchased this item so that I could recharge my Blackberry and also use my gps device for long journeys.

While theres enough juice for my gps device, it simply isnt enough for my Blackberry.

The user guide explains that the maximum output per USB socket is 500mA and a higher output is required (a typical mains charger provides 700mA).
