This is a good quality case. The exteriour is textured like a basketball. The rubber like coating keeps the phone in place in your pocket but also makes it a little hard to get out. It has the option of using a detachable clip or you can do away with that clip all together with an added piece that makes the phones back completely smooth.

I like this case because in my job as a truck driver, my phone has the potential to take abuse. Abuse that a Droid might not be able to take. So, this bulky case is perfect. When home, I take the case off so I enjoy the more slim stock configuration. In short, I love this case. Bulky, manly, cool... Whats not to love?

Ive only owned this case for about 2 weeks now but I love it. Ive tried a couple others for the Droid but they dont even compare to the body glove. It fits great and very securely unlike the other cases I tried that would pop off too easily. The only exception to this is the left side of the screen trim as noted by another reviewer but at least its not warped looking like other ill fitting cases and I think its designed that way so that it doesnt impede the sliding keyboard. I also love the kickstand feature on the belt clip although dont try using your phone while using the kickstand, it knocks over too easily. You can also remove the knob on the back for the belt clip and use the insert if you plan on just carrying it in your pocket or purse.

Overall, I love the textured look and feel of the surface. I cant keep my hands off of it. It was especially important for me to have a quality case that fits a quality phone like the Droid. There are way too many ill fitting cases out there but this one is awesome. Absolutely the best case out there for the Droid!

I bought my Droid on 12/3, and decided to go with the last Body Glove they had at Best Buy. Let me tell you, being a long time smartphone user, nothing matches up to the BodyGlove!The hard plastic interior and the shock-absorbing rubber coating are guaranteed to protect your phone from scratches and minor drops.

The only thing I dont like, is the left side of the face cover- its a big weak, and does fit snugly to the phone, thus wiggling when touched.

100 recommended buy!

This definitely a great case as Ive dropped my phone two or three times already and no damage has been done (approx 4-6ft drop). However, when using the keyboard, the top row is tough to enter in keys and if you want to keep the case on 24/7, you may not get to use barely any car holster or desktop cradle.

Still, a great case with few drawbacks.

Purchased my BodyGlove case and it fit very well. It took me a while to get used to the BodyGlove fit but I see why the rave reviews. I love the inside cushioning. I did experience a broken cover a couple of months in but contacted BodyGlove and problem solved.

I rather like the case, I think provides some good protection. However, like I noted, if youre taking a picture at night or in a low light situation and youre using the flash, the case reflects some of light and make for a pretty crappy looking picture. If you take the case off, which can be kind of a pain, you dont have the problem. I may have to take a knife to it do open it up some and reduce the reflection.

This Body Glove is awesome unless you have the docking station, then it becomes a tedious ritual to remove the top and bottom case just to dock it. I am certain that every case will have the same issue so not much that can be done about it, but just thought I would share.

Tacky grip for dry hands

Really like the body glove because I have dry hands and this cover is tacky enough for good grip and control. Only complaint is that it gives limited protection around the screen if you were to drop the face of the phone on a hard surface.

Bought this case 2 days after I got my Droid. Its definatley the ultimate in protection.

The only downside I had, which caused me to remove it, was with the case on, the phone would no longer fit into my side carry case. As someone in manual labor, with mulitple metal objects in my pockets at all times, I couldnt sacrifice the belt clip case and put it in my pocket.

Get a slightly larger case and its perfect!

Case works great, but the belt clip is too loose-- it has fallen off my belt THREE times-- the case has popped off when the droid hit the ground-- but the DROID SURVIVED.

Overall, I like the snap on case by BodyGlove. It is sturdy and has protected my phone well. The only issue is that the case is so thick that it prevents me from setting my phone in the Droid docking station (the one that is sold by Verizon). Minor issue that will probably be solved as more accessories are created for the Droid- but mildly irritating anyway.

If you almost never plan on removing this case from your Droid then this is an very nice case for the phone, but if you have accessories like the desktop cradle or the GPS car cradle then the back has to be removed or it WILL NOT FIT. After removing the face cover part of the case a handful of times it no longer stayed on and would just fall off. Im only giving the product 3 stars because it is not easy to remove and when you do you run the risk of wearing or breaking the plastic lips that is used to attach to the Droid.

well i purchased this case just after a few days after i received my droid. i loved it at first, but now after taking it off a few times, one the pieces that hold it in place has broke off. If your a constant texter or always checking email/twitter/facebook/myspace, the corners on the back of the case will start to wear off and then pill.

I am hard on my phones, and this was the only hard case in stock at a local store. The cases clips wore grooves into the back of the display portion of the phone (from sliding the keyboard in and out). The case ended up falling apart in about 6 months. Overall I wouldnt buy again.

Shoddy Glove

This is my second Body Glove case for my Droid. Neither have last more than 6 months. The small clips needed to hold on to the phone are not strong enough and one by one start chipping off until case will not stay on. This goes for both screen and back pieces. The material also starts to degrade and fall apart leaving an unattractive separated rubbery mess. I am an executive and take good care of my phone. While I love the look and feel, it just does not hold up under the most basic use and I would not recommend it. I am looking for something similar but more durable.

Ive decided that I do not like this case - heres why:

- Ive dropped my phone 3 times and noticed that in all instances the case only protects the phone on the initial drop - once it hits the ground, the case pops off and if the phone bounces due to height of the the drop, when it lands it could be scratched. I was outside on asphalt all three times I dropped my phone - the phone is scratched due to this. :-(

- The clips that retain the case on the phone get worn and eventually fall off, making the case useless. I wear my phone on my belt with the belt clip and now that some of the retaining clips are gone, the phone has started to pop out of the case - luckily, Ive noticed and saved it from falling so far.

- Its difficult to use the keyboard on the phone with the face protector part of the case installed. Although I suspect that every case (other than the clear film ones) will have this issue due to the design of the phone.

Its because of the reasons outlined above that I would suggest checking out a different case.

At firs the cover was great. Durable, definitly good protection from shock. But you have issues h first time you try and remove it. The tabs tend to get stuc in the seam ofthe phone and actually tr and spli the phone apart. The plastic onmy phon has en damaged from thecover.

Second proble is th face cover, after only 6 months ofuse the fc cove will not even stay on the phone. Itwas veRY flimsy from day 1.

The case worked well at first but after a few months the front portion of the case that covers the screen would not stay attached to the phone. It is suppose to snap onto the phone but the mechanism used to snap it in place is poorly constructed and broke after only a few months.

The corners of the untit pilled after two days and started to peel all around so it looked like a bad sunburn. I had to remove the rear case a couple of times for access to the battery and the case never again fit as snug and in fact, the phone fell out twice which is what subsequently made me give it up for good. I bought this case when I first got my Droid and having had a case from Body Glove for a previous phone I assumed it would be as good as the other one. I was disappointed by the flimsy top piece... I could easily bend it while on the phone. The other concern was that made it very difficult to slide the phone open, almost like it was grinding or scraping it each time. That was a deal breaker for me when the case itself was damaging the phone. The case is tough, just not well thought out for the Droid.

I like everything about the case except for 2 things. First, after only a few months of use the rubberized skin is peeling off in several places. Looks awful! I am a very light user. I never drop my phone. The most wear the phone gets is slipping in and out of my pocket (not tight). I dont keep anything in that pocket but the phone and a leather case for my business cards. Im about to order a new case b/c this one looks so bad. The second thing I dont like about the cover is that it blocks access to the top row of keys on the physical keyboard. A big deal if you are attached to the physical keyboard.

This is the first Body Glove Case that I have had to return and will never buy again. Th first drop from the waist onto carpet broke two of the tabs that secure the back of the case to the phone. Granted that the $500 phone was not damaged and the $25 case was should be good enough to recommend the product. However after the two tabs broke the case still seemed to work until the phone started falling out of the case. Returned it and purchased the Seidio case and holder. This one fits better than the Body Glove and holds up to casual drops. This case/holder also has a lower profile and is more phone friendly.

this cover scratched the hell outa my phone. and the little tabs that hold the front protector on broke and it falls off all the time.
i dont know if the phone got scratched because of dirt getting between the phone and cover but what ever.

The case does add some bulk to the phone that i acually like. makes it better to hold.

all in all i dont think its worth the 25 bucks your gonna pay for it

It was nice at first, especially to help keep it safe as I was getting use to using a this kind of phone. It makes it really big though and hard to slid into my pockets. It didnt fit very well, had the back exchanged at the verizon store a week after getting it because it squeeked, literally squeeked. A month later and the case started falling apart, that soft rubber cover was pealing away. Took it off completely to find out it had also scratched my droid up and left dents in it.

Sturdy Case, Flawed Design

I bought this case on December 21st, 2009 at a verizon store after the salesman recommended it to me for my particular needs.

I noticed immediately that it made the sliding motion slightly more difficult, and mentioned it to the clerk and he said it was normal for cases of this variety. I didnt think anything of it and went forward with the purchase. I was impressed by the Products sturdiness and sleek design.

I noticed immediately that the front cover did not fit very well, the top edge was loose on the phone, even after making sure the case was fastened properly. It was very flimsy in that one spot, as it is a thin place for the case to cover I thought it just part of the design.

Approximately 1 week later, The top-right edge of the case had come completely unfastened as I was using the sliding motion to open the keyboard, and upon inspection the piece of plastic that holds the case on the phone had been sheared off. I was upset and called the verizon store but they would not offer me a refund.

Approximately 4 days after that, the second piece of plastic on the right hand side sheared off, rendering the front side of the case unusable.

This is just my experience but I hope you take this into account before purchasing this item. Buyer Beware.

Split my Droid open

The case fits well to a point. The Body Glove case causes the sliding action to be more difficult. The clamps catch on each other adding resistance to an already difficult slide. The left edge of the top portion of the case does not grip anything and is very flimsy. The back portion of the case can be very difficult to remove. During removal, the clamp beneath the USB port can catch in between the panels of the Droid and, at least in my situation, split the casing open such that the internals of the device could be seen. Needless to say this caused an oh sh*t moment. Case was purchased online so this could not be tested beforehand. Returning to Verizon to prevent further damage.
