The Air Vent Pedestal fits most vents in the trucks and cars my business has. The suction cup pedestal is better than most. The Universal Cradle opens to 3 1/4 in. big enough to hold most phones with cases.
StarStarStarStarStar great product and great customer service

This is a great product and recently I had a great customer service experience with Arkon as well. I need a replacement part for my mount, and they sent me more than I needed all for free.

I recommend this unit.
StarStarStarStarStar good for Pre
User: Joe Truckey, Sep 30, 2009

Pros:  holds the stone
Cons:  -

This is the type I purchased and only because I wanted one that would hold the Stone charger. So, all I do is lay the magnetic stone inside where the phone would go, attach the charger (but make sure you get the correct plug in, some do not work with the Touch stone). Then when I get in the car, I just lay the phone on the stone and it begins to charge immediately.
StarStarStarStarStar great holder!
User: denise melo, Dec 6, 2008
I got this a couple of months ago and love it! I have a honda accord so I had to stick in on my console door, very sturdy. Not sure what the difference is between this on and the $19.99 one... but this one rocks, especially if you use nav alot, like I do :P

I use it with the vent clip option. Sturdy and easy to use. I love it.
StarStarStarStarStar Pretty Good
User: Leo Smith, Aug 22, 2011

Pros:  Well Built
Cons:  Vent installation

Sturdy Arm to Attach to the windshield, Keeps the phone steady in place, and havent had any issue with loss of suction

Vent installation is a little difficult, Vent clips kept releasing and dropping the holder with the phone intact.
StarStarStarStarStar Nice Product
User: Andrew P, Jun 13, 2010
I think both methods are easy installs and the product is well built. The arm for the window mount bounces the device a little but I got use to it quick. All in all good product.

I have read others reviews saying the vent holder was hard to install and chewed up their vents just read the install instruction and I found that it is very easy and didnt do any harm to my vent.
StarStarStarStarStar well covered bases

Pros:  nice options
Cons:  hard to remove from a/c louvres

This product makes it easier to use Droid for gps navigation. I like having multiple placement options.
StarStarStarStarStar Fills the need
User: Martin Custer, Aug 11, 2008

Pros:  versatile, light, relatively cheap
Cons:  -

Great peice of kit. I got mine because I use the Nav Feature allot. It pops off one windshield and onto another in a flash which is great when Im traveling and constantly getting in and out of rental cars. Stays on as well as a suction cup device could be expected to.
StarStarStarStarStar Works well - but one flaw
User: Steve Malech, Jun 28, 2008

Pros:  Solid construction - good idea
Cons:  Sqeezing pad to lock in place activates voice dial

I liked the looks of this product and purchased based on reviews for use with similar cell phones. It does work as expected with one exception - when you go to secure the phone (by squeezing together the side pads) the voice dial button on the side is often inadvertently pressed. Yes you can avoid this problem by pressing the pads together with just the right amount of pressure to secure the phone. The side pads need to have cutouts for the side buttons of the phone. I plan on keeping the device and modifying the pads myself.
StarStarStarStarStar Good idea poorly executed
User: Vincenzo Cangioli, Jun 3, 2007

Pros:  It allows great positioning
Cons:  The swivel mechanism loosens up after a while

This would be a great car mount. It comes with different attachements and the clik and swivel mechanism allows for proper positioning and orientation of the phone. The problem is that the tilt and swivel mechanism becomes loose after a while and it starts swinging around when a heavy phone such as a palm 680 is placed in the cradle. After a few months it is unusuable. At every curve the cradle swings around often flinging the phone about the car.
StarStarStarStarStar Centro doesnt quite fit in holder
User: Chris Kottaridis, Oct 16, 2008
Got this and it turns out the centro is narrower then the backplate. So you cant squeeze the centro in tight enough with the side holders. I put a small 1/4" piece of plywwood between the centro and the side plates and it can then be squeezed into place quite nicely and is held in place very tightly. So, Ill probably add something to make the side plates fatter so they can hold the centro tight enough so it wont fall out.

Id send it back and try another holder, but the turn around time for that is too long. If a local store had the items here Id try them instead because the turn around time for ones that dont fit would be hours or days as opposed to weeks. So, Ill just rig something up. Sigh...
StarStarStarStarStar Careful buying.
User: Brendan Callaway, Jan 10, 2012

Pros:  Great design, easy to install
Cons:  Doesnt fit all phones if you want to charge them.

I have one of these for my LG Ally and it works great. So i got one for my GFs droid bionic. The ad states it will work for it, what they fail to mention is that it wont allow you to charge the phone while docked. So be sure to get measurements of your phone and where your charging port is, this item will not allow at the least the Bionic to charge, have no idea about other phones.
StarStarStarStarStar cheaply made
User: Bob Mac, Feb 24, 2010

Pros:  the idea
Cons:  the construction

The rubberized padding in the cradle on the sides does not stay attached to the cradle therefore your phone will fall out. To boot on the Storm the shortcut buttons get pressed inadvertently by the cradle which could mean a call would be made by accident.

The mounting suction cup SUCKS! It fell off my window at times. This thing is now living under the front seat because I will use it to throw at non-green people who are hurting the earth...
StarStarStarStarStar Good at first...
User: Michael Mos, Oct 17, 2006
Was great for the first few weeks. Then the ring that tightens the connection between the gooseneck and the crade just snapped off. I looked at the broken piece and saw that the ring was made out of plastic! Can't someone make one of these things with real metal parts that won't break? So the cradle just kind of flops around now and is useless...
